Podcasts have gained a lot of popularity in recent years and it’s not for nothing. Maybe you listen to your favourite celebrities, maybe you listen to podcasts about sports, or your new binge-worthy tv show. But there are also many podcasts on sustainable fashion. Below are our personal favourite sustainable fashion podcasts to stay productive and learn new things throughout the day!

1. Dressed: The History of Fashion

Hosted and created by Cassidy Zachary and April Calahan, this podcast takes a look at the intricate history of the fashion industry. From fashion history episodes, to interviews and cultural fashions, there are over 150 episodes to listen to!

2. Pre-Loved Podcast

Emily Stochl sits down with a special guest every week to discuss slow fashion, fascinating vintage pieces, sustainability, and why it is that people thrift. The June 15th episode with Jazmine Rogers is especially interesting, discussing how to be benevolent with ourselves during our transition from fast to slow fashion.

3. The Wardrobe Crisis

Since 2017, Clare Press, a Vogue sustainability editor, has delivered amazing content on the effects of fast fashion on people and the planet. With a focus on ethics, consumerism, and activism, you are sure to learn a lot. Clare has also published a book called Wardrobe Crisis: How we Went from Sunday Best to Fast Fashion.

4. Spirit of 608

With the goal of empowering women in the fashion industry, fashion journalist Lorraine Sanders hosts this weekly podcast to analyze potential connections in FEST: fashion, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and technology. Varying from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours, these podcast episodes that have been around since 2015 will definitely shed a light on the fashion industry.

5. Business with Purpose

Ranging from multinational companies to non-profits, Molly Stillman discusses with individuals who are making a positive impact on the world for future generations. Get a glimpse into the minds of some of the most generous entrepreneurs during these episodes.

6. American Fashion

Compared to the others, this podcast definitely has a more business-focused aspect to it. Run by 4 co-hosts, it dives into the issues of the garment industry, all while offering advice to those who would like to start their own company. They also discuss what the future of ethical fashion may look like with many special guests.
